Amerant Bank Arena Security Policies 

The following guidelines and procedures are designed to help our guests have a safe and enjoyable visit to our arena. Your safety is always our first concern. We thank you for your cooperation. 

 

Bag Policy

  • Amerant Bank Arena encourages all fans to arrive early and travel light. Bags sized 12” x 12” and under are permitted inside Amerant Bank Arena, as well as bags used for medical needs and diaper bags. Clear bags are not required.
  • Bags 4" x 6" and under are exempt from X-ray screening and may enter through any standard entry line. All bags larger than 4" x 6", up to 12" x 12", are permitted but must pass through X-ray screening at the designated bag check entry lines.
  • Bag searches shall be conducted by Amerant Bank Arena security staff utilizing X-Ray technology in a dedicated bag line. All exterior and interior compartments of the bag shall be searched and cleared of any dangerous or prohibited items.
  • Bags that exceed the permissible size can be returned to the guest's vehicle or checked at the bag lockers at the bottom of the Publix Plaza stairs directly in front of Amerant Bank Arena's main entrance. There will be a fee for utilizing a bag locker.

 

Prohibited Items: 

  • No Bags larger than 12 in x 12 in.
  • No Coolers and hard-sided bags
  • No Cameras with detachable lenses 
  • No GoPros, laptop computers, tablets, any audio/video recording devices other than cell phones
  • No Selfie sticks 
  • No Signs larger than 2’ x 2’, or any signs with posts, poles, or items that obstruct views 
  • No Strollers, unless tickets are for Suites, Amerant Vault, or Corona Beach House
  • No Weapons of any kind, including firearms, knives, pocketknives, mace, tasers, or anything that could be used as a weapon.
  • No Explosive, combustible, or hazardous items 
  • No Chains, spikes, or similar items
  • No Fireworks, laser pointers or similar nuisance items
  • No Drones or unmanned aerial devices 
  • No Balls, frisbees, or other items that can be used as projectiles 
  • No Airhorns, whistles, or any other artificial noisemaking devices 
  • No Flammable items, including flares, lighters, cigarettes, vapes, e-cigarettes, or other smoking devices 
  • No Outside Alcohol, food, beverages, or non-prescription drugs
  • No Metal bottles or cups
  • No Drugs, including medical marijuana or illegal substances 
  • No Brooms 
  • No Flags, banners, or signs that obstruct views 
  • No Animals, except Certified Service Animals 
  • No Masks (masks are defined as forms of disguise or concealment worn over or in front of the face to hide the identity of the person)
  • Any other item deemed potentially dangerous or unsuitable by Arena security or the NHL is prohibited
  • Any item deemed dangerous or distracting by the arena, team or production is prohibited

**Law enforcement personnel or guests that are not present in an official capacity and working on behalf of Amerant Bank Arena, are prohibited from bringing weapons into the arena. Weapons include, but are not limited to, the following: firearms, explosives, stun guns, handcuffs, brass knuckles, sticks, clubs, batons, martial arts instruments, pepper spray, tear gas and knives. Guests found in possession of the above-mentioned items will be asked to remove the item from the arena or dispose of it. Guests who refuse to comply will not be permitted entry into the arena.** 

 

Permitted Items: 

  • Bags, clutches and crossbodies smaller than 12in x 12in.
  • (1) unopened plastic bottle of water per guest. 
  • Umbrellas (Subject to additional screening) 
  • Cowbells (subject to removal if disruptive) 
  • Binoculars, without case 
  • Diaper bags, breast pump bags, and bags needed for medical purposes. 
    • All guests entering with diaper bags, breast pump bags, and bags needed for medical purposes are subject to visual search and x-ray screening upon entry. 
  • All permitted bags are subject to visual and/or X-Ray screening upon entry. 
  • All guests are subject to walk-through metal detectors.  
  • Wrapped gifts must be pre-approved by the arena. 

 

Guest Code of Conduct & Prohibited Fan Behavior:  

  • Guests who engage in disruptive behavior, including foul or abusive language and obscene gestures, are subject to ejection from the event.  
  • Guests shall refrain from using abusive language or gestures when interacting with staff and will abide by all applicable laws. 
  • Guests shall consume alcoholic beverages in a responsible manner. Intervention with an impaired, intoxicated or underage guest will be handled in a prompt and safe manner. 
  • Guests shall sit only in their ticketed seats and show their tickets when requested. 
  • Guests shall not engage in fighting, throwing objects, or attempting to enter the playing or performing surface. 
  • Guests shall not smoke in the arena or ticketed outdoor spaces. Guests who do so will be immediately ejected from the arena. 
  • Guests shall comply with requests from arena staff regarding arena operations and emergency response procedures. 
  • Guests shall not exit and re-enter the building after scanning tickets. 
  • Unauthorized filming. 
  • Opening umbrellas inside the arena. 

**NO RE-ENTRY** 

These guidelines are subject to change at any time and guests who fail to comply may be subject to ejection, permanent trespass from the Amerant Bank Arena and any other property managed by the Florida Panthers organization, and potential arrest by local authorities. 

Warning: Strobe or flashing lights may be in use during games or concerts.
